WHITE LAKE

Reservoir at 2234 m.a.s.l., Bernina pass, Switzerland.

It is formed by two dams.

The White Lake is fed by the waters and the sand of the glacier, which give the lake a whitish colour, similar to milk. The White Lake is a watershed: to the east, the water flows into the Black Sea, to the south in the Adriatic Sea.

In winter it can become a breathtaking skating rink.
