‘The miners city of Freiberg found out that they are missing a headquarter for their mineral mining documentary archives. So, on a quite wild and radical move they proposed: ‘Why don’t we use part of Castle Freudenstein as an archive?’. This programmatic decision to put an archive into the historical building allowed for a radical design and was actually the great move'.
