Etimologically, in many European languages, there is a link between miners (from mine) and a pencil lead.

Are miners even those who dig very thin tunnels in the wood of a pencil to place a graphite cylinder in it?

Can we expect that pencil-leads play a strategic (and still secret) role in obtaining units of a cryptocurrency, by a bitcoin miner for exemple?
